Hands-On Learning Programmes for Schools & Student Care in Singapore

STEM & Science • Design Thinking • Sustainability • Heritage & Culture • Wellness • VIA & Social Impact

From one-off school workshops to multi-session learning programmes, holiday programmes and school-wide activities, Little Changemakers designs hands-on experiences that build curiosity, creativity, empathy and real-world problem-solving skills. Programmes can be adapted for schools, student care centres and enrichment settings based on age, learning goals, duration and group size.

Choose your setting

Different settings need different programme formats.

Start with where the learning will happen. We can then adapt the programme, level of challenge, duration and facilitation to suit your students and objectives.

For Schools

Curriculum, enrichment & school-wide learning

For primary, secondary and post-secondary schools looking for purposeful hands-on learning connected to curriculum, CCE, VIA or broader school goals.

  • One-off enrichment workshops
  • 4–10 session progressive programmes
  • STEM, Science & Design Thinking
  • Sustainability & social-impact challenges
  • VIA, CCE & service-learning
  • School-wide events, festivals & learning days
  • Custom curriculum and challenge development
For Student Care & Enrichment

Engaging programmes students want to come back to

For student care centres, enrichment providers and holiday programmes that need hands-on activities with enough variety and progression to sustain interest.

  • Weekly or recurring enrichment series
  • School-holiday programmes
  • STEM tinkering & creative challenges
  • Art, heritage & cultural programmes
  • Wellness & sensory making
  • Age-adapted hands-on projects
  • Custom themes for term or holiday planning
The same idea does not have to look the same in every setting. We can turn one theme into a short workshop, a multi-session learning journey, a holiday programme or a larger school-wide experience.

VIA, CCE & Service-Learning Programmes

Move beyond one-off volunteering. Little Changemakers helps students understand the community they are serving, participate meaningfully and reflect on how they can contribute with empathy, respect and purpose. Programmes can combine preparation, hands-on engagement, reflection and Design Thinking.

Community engagement

Hands-On VIA Programme

Students prepare for and take part in meaningful engagement with a community group through making, facilitation, interaction or service, followed by guided reflection on what respectful contribution looks like.

Inclusive design

Inclusive Design Challenge

Students use personas, observation and Design Thinking prompts to redesign an activity or experience for people with different abilities, needs and perspectives.

Intergenerational learning

Senior & Intergenerational Engagement

Students learn how to engage seniors with dignity and purpose before participating in age-appropriate activities, conversations or intergenerational experiences.

Student-led impact

VIA Redesign Lab

Students apply Design Thinking to an existing or proposed VIA project, helping them identify real needs, improve their ideas and create more thoughtful and sustainable community impact.

Design Thinking for Inclusion & Social Good

Short talks, workshops and design challenges that help students move from “I have an idea” to “Who am I designing for?”. Students learn to understand people, identify real barriers, generate possibilities and improve solutions for social and community challenges.

Suitable as a standalone 60–120 minute programme or as a component within VIA, CCE, leadership and social-innovation learning.

Standalone AI & Critical Thinking Workshop

Think Better With AI

Help students become better thinkers with AI, not simply faster answer-generators. Through Design Thinking and human-centred challenges, students learn to ask better questions, challenge assumptions, evaluate AI responses and improve ideas.

Built on Little Changemakers' human-centred design approach and community-grounded perspectives from our social-impact work, so students practise using AI within real questions about people, inclusion and society.

Hands-On

Learn by Making, Testing & Improving

Students actively build, experiment, observe, discuss and refine ideas instead of simply receiving information.

Progressive

From One Workshop to a Learning Journey

Choose a standalone experience or build a multi-session programme where skills, challenges and student independence develop progressively.

Customisable

Designed Around Your Learning Goals

We can adapt age level, challenge, duration, cohort size and programme structure around your students, objectives and timetable.

Real-World

Problems That Go Beyond the Classroom

Sustainability, inclusion, ageing, community needs and everyday challenges give students meaningful contexts for STEM, Design Thinking, VIA and innovation.

Human-Centred

Technology With People at the Centre

Whether students are working with AI, engineering, design or social innovation, they learn to ask who they are designing for and why their solution matters.

Community-Grounded

Informed by Real Social-Impact Work

Our learning programmes draw from Little Changemakers’ work with children, seniors, persons with diverse abilities, volunteers, community organisations and corporate partners.

One theme. Different possibilities.

A programme can become a 90-minute workshop, a 5–10 session innovation series, a student care enrichment programme, a holiday programme, a VIA project or a larger school-wide learning experience.
